Conveniently located just off the A39 within easy reach of Bridgwater. Combe House Hotel lies in a peaceful wooded valley in the heart of the Quantock Hills, the first part of England to be designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Its four acres of tranquil gardens feature a fine variety of shrubs, one of the largest monkey puzzle trees in the South West, an ancient yew, a young handkerchief tree and an organic kitchen garden providing the country house hotel with vegetables and soft fruit.
'Find it, try it, you won't be disappointed' - Somerset Life, March 2008
'Our inspector loved this little corner of heaven: "I did not want to leave"' - Johansens Guide 2007
A stream bubbles through the grounds, while the hills and woodlands around are home to many species of wild birds, animals and rare plants. From the restaurant windows on a summer evening you can see rabbits scampering on the hillside and if you are lucky also catch sight of roe and red deer emerging from the forest to graze. The Quantock Hills provide a wonderful variety of walks of short and longer distances with different degrees of difficulty for hiking and rambling. Exmoor is only a few miles away and the attractions of this part of Somerset are legion(See Things To Do section).
