Restaurant and Bar
Our restaurant, recently refitted with specially commissioned handmade Cornish oak and walnut furniture, is where breakfast and dinner are served.

Our menus draw on recipes from all over the world, gleaned by our head chef Laurence Pratt from 15 years' service in the Royal Navy, where the VIPs he served included royalty and Heads of State.

Though his menus have an international flavour, most of the ingredients are from Somerset where he was born and grew up. Meat and game come from local farms and shoots, fish from Brixham trawlers, shellfish from the Bristol Channel and many of our vegetables from our own organic kitchen garden. Somerset cheeses, led by Cheddar, are world famous.

Light lunches are served in the bar (as well as on the lawn in fine weather) and there is a comfortable lounge for morning and after dinner coffee.
